William Oxley Thompson Library

The newly renovated Thompson Library has been a campus landmark since 1913. The West Reading Room is an all-glass enclosure that offers study space and an expansive view. The reading room on the 11th floor offers breathtaking views of campus and Columbus. The library, on the west end of the Oval, attracts nearly 12,000 visitors each day.

Ohio Union

The new Ohio Union is located at the corner of 12th and College Avenues. The 300,000-square-foot facility is the major student gathering place on campus with a number of dining areas, one of the city’s largest ballrooms and offices for more than 100 student organizations. Parts of the facility are open 24 hours a day.

The Oval

Whether it be a group of students tossing a football, young activists advocating for a campaign or a cluster of scholars studying for that big chemistry final, the Oval is always filled with the hustle and bustle of everyday student life. Located in the heart of the Ohio State campus along College Avenue, this 11-acre green space is the perfect spot to catch students in the midst of their daily activities.

RPAC

The Recreational and Physical Activity Center, commonly referred to as the "RPAC," is Ohio State's world-class workout facility, offering numerous sports and physical activity resources. The facility's lobby is also home to a café-like setting where students gather to study or socialize. The RPAC Is located at 337 W. 17th Ave.

Hagerty Hall

Hagerty Hall, located on the eastern tip of the Oval at 1775 College Road, is one of the main sources for world culture and media at Ohio State. Café Crane often serves a diverse background of students studying foreign matters and customs. Do not be surprised if you are greeted with a "Bonjour" or a "Ciao!"

Hale Center

The Frank W. Hale Jr. Black Cultural Center is home to many opportunities for students on campus. From minority speakers to cultural art displays, tutoring to cookouts, the Hale Center is always teeming with students from multicultural backgrounds. It is located in the former Enarson Hall, 154 W. 12th Ave.
