40,000 lights will add holiday sparkle to Mirror Lake

More than 40,000 lights will add an extra holiday cheer to the area surrounding Mirror Lake. The second annual “Lighting Up the Lake” is from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. today (12/2) at Mirror Lake and Browning Ampitheater, on the South Oval. The lighting will take place at 6:30 p.m.

The event is sponsored by Ohio Staters, Inc. and will include the official lighting of the lake, hot chocolate and cookies and a trombone ensemble playing seasonal music. Lights will be on display until the middle of February.

Ohio Staters, Inc., is a student organization that promotes university tradition through various activities and volunteer opportunities.
