Advisory: Faculty Awards Ceremony

                      FACULTY AWARDS CEREMONY

Reporters, photographers and videographers are invited to attend 
a ceremony Tuesday (4/21) honoring the 17 recipients of The Ohio 
State University's prestigious honors, the Alumni Award for 
Distinguished Teaching, the Distinguished Scholar Award and the 
Faculty Award for Distinguished University Service.  

A video presentation and awards ceremony begins at 8:30 p.m. 
Tuesday in the Main Dining Room of the Faculty Club, 181 S. Oval 
Drive, on the Columbus campus.  The ceremony follows a reception and 
dinner for the award winners.

Winners of the teaching award are Robert Coleman, associate 
professor of chemistry; William Davis, professor of mathematics; 
Michael Earley, assistant professor of clinical optometry; Bernard 
Erven, professor of agricultural economics; Lawrence Krissek, 
associate professor of geological sciences; Richard Lundman, 
professor of sociology; Myroslava Mudrak, associate professor of 
history of art; John Skowronski, associate professor of psychology at 
the Newark campus; and John Wenzel, assistant professor of 
entomology.

The scholar award recipients are Hojjat Adeli, professor of 
civil and environmental engineering and geodetic science; Clive 
Edwards, professor of entomology; Eric Herbst, professor of physics 
and astronomy; Andrea Lunsford, professor of English; William Mitsch, 
professor of natural resources and environmental science; and M. Sue 
O'Dorisio, professor of pediatrics and immunology.

Service award recipients are David Frantz, professor of English, 
and Gerald Reagan, professor of educational policy and leadership.
