                         NEWS ADVISORY:
OHIO HOUSE SPEAKER JO ANN DAVIDSON
                 TO SPEAK ON PUBLIC EDUCATION

Rep. Jo Ann Davidson (R-Reynoldsburg), speaker of the Ohio
House of Representatives, will share her views on critical issues
in education Thursday (5/7) from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. in 322
Ramseyer Hall, 29 W. Woodruff Ave., on The Ohio State University
Columbus campus.

Davidson, in her ninth term as a state representative, has
been a strong advocate for children and education throughout her
career. Her commitment and beliefs have been instrumental in
shaping state policy on education. She will meet with Ohio State
students, faculty and staff in the eighth and final meeting in a
series of campus forums titled "The Future of Public Education in
Ohio."

The series is designed to provide an opportunity for
students and policy-makers to air and debate public policy issues
related to education. The forum is presented through PROBE
(Policy Research for Ohio Based Education), housed in the College
of Education.
