Another 100 Buckeyes win prizes in Booster Drawing
Fourth week of program brings total winners to 400

As the Buckeye Booster Drawing reaches its midpoint, another 100 students, faculty and staff won $100 gift cards this week. So far, 400 Buckeyes have won prizes in the drawing. Individuals who have received their COVID-19 booster shot and reported their status to the university may continue to enter for chances to win in four more weekly drawings.
Philip Gleissner, assistant professor in the Department of Slavic and East European Languages and Cultures, said he will donate his winnings to humanitarian aid in Ukraine.
“I am happy to help other people identify organizations they can support,” he said.
Gleissner chose to receive a booster to protect himself, his loved ones and his community. Laura Baglereau, associate instructional designer in the Office of Technology and Digital Innovation, had specific loved ones in mind.
“My toddler can’t be vaccinated yet, so both my husband and I got boosters to better protect our child until the vaccine is available for the under-5 age group,” she said. “We also interact with my 96-year-old grandma a lot and help take care of her. She’s gotten her booster too, and we know that being boosted adds a layer of protection for her as well.”
The Buckeye Booster Drawing runs weekly through early April (the university will pause the drawing for spring break, which takes place March 14-18). To participate, students, faculty and staff must complete these steps:
- Receive the COVID-19 booster dose. Individuals are eligible five months after completing a two-dose primary vaccine series or two months after receiving the Johnson & Johnson vaccine. Boosters are available at Student Health Services, through the Wexner Medical Center and locations around the State.
- Submit your booster information to the university if you have not already done so. Students should report through My BuckMD. Employees should report through the Employee Health Record.
- Enter the drawing by completing this form.
The deadline to enter for the next drawing is Sunday, March 6 at 11:59:59 p.m. EDT. Rules and other information are available on the Buckeye Booster Drawing webpage.
