'Apprentice' alumna to kickoff United Black World Month

COLUMBUS – Omarosa Manigault Stallworth, alumna of the television show “The Apprentice,” will kick off the 34th annual celebration of United Black World Month (UBWM) at The Ohio State University. Stallworth will speak at 7 p.m. on Thursday (2/3) in the Ohio Union ballroom, 1739 N. High St. The event is free and open to the public.

“Obtaining Freedom through Unity” is the theme for UBWM, which features a month of educational programs that highlight African American history and culture.

Stallworth currently serves as a managing partner for Access America Enterprise Corp., a strategic business planning and consulting service. She gained considerable experience in politics and government relations as the deputy associate director of presidential personnel for President Bill Clinton and as the senior scheduling and advance coordinator to Vice President Al Gore.
