‘Big Free Concert’ is rescheduled for May 24

COLUMBUS – The “Big Free Concert” scheduled for Friday (5/21) on the south oval of The Ohio State University, featuring “Twista,” “Ludacris” and “Wyclef Jean,” has been rescheduled for 6:30 p.m. on Monday (5/24) at The Schottenstein Center, 555 Borror Drive. Doors will open at 5 p.m.

Matt Couch, associate director for student activities and adviser to the student-led Ohio Union Activities Board, said it was the organizers’ commitment to Ohio State students that dictated the change in the venue.

“The concert lineup was growing in popularity among non-Ohio State students,”Couch said. “With a limited viewing area for the outdoor show, the possibility of a larger audience became a concern. The move to the Schottenstein Center gives us the assurance that the concert can go on as planned.”

Only currently enrolled Ohio State students will be permitted to attend the concert. A ticket is required for the general admission seating and will be limited to one per student with a current BuckID. Presenting another student’s BuckID on their behalf will not be permitted.

Tickets will be available for pickup beginning Thursday (5/20) from noon to midnight at the Ohio Union Information Desk, 1739 N. High St. Tickets also will be available for pickup Friday (5/21) between 7 a.m. and 2 a.m., Saturday (5/22) between 9 a.m. and 2 a.m., and on Sunday (5/23) from 11 a.m. to midnight.
