Bob Dole, Howard Dean to debate 2004 election issues

Former Democratic Presidential candidate Gov. Howard Dean and former Republican Presidential candidate Sen. Bob Dole will face off in a debate over 2004 election issues. The event is designed to increase awareness among students about the upcoming presidential election.

The event is set for 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday (10/20) in the Ohio Union Ballrooms, 1739 N. High St. Unfortunately, no seats remain for the event. Media wishing to cover the event should be prepared show identification.

Issues that Dean and Dole will discuss include funding for higher education, the war in Iraq and the economy.

The event is sponsored by the Ohio Union Activities Board, the First Year Experience program, Homecoming Steering Committee, the Undergraduate Student Government, the Hillel and the John Glenn Institute.
