Carol Moseley Braun available for media interviews

Carol Moseley Braun, a former candidate for the 2004 democratic presidential nomination, is available for media interviews at 4 p.m. on Wednesday (3/3) at the Prior Health Sciences Library, 376 W. 10th Ave. Interviews will be on the fifth floor in the library’s Medical Heritage Center. Parking will be permitted in The Ohio State University Medical Center parking loop.

Later, Braun will help close United Black World Month and kick off Women’s History Month at Ohio State with a talk titled “Inspiring Hope and Possibility.” The event is set for 7 p.m. Wednesday in the Ohio Union ballrooms, 1739 N. High St. The event is free and open to the public.

A native of Chicago, Ill., Braun served as a U.S. senator from 1992 to 1998 and was appointed the U.S. ambassador to New Zealand in 1999. She has taught law and political science at Morris Brown College and DePaul University since 2001.

The event is sponsored by The Ohio State University Medical Center, the Ohio State Office of Minority Affairs, the Ohio State Multicultural Center Women Student Services and radio station WVKO.
