On Monday (1/8), the Columbus Police Department will be implementing a parking ban in the campus area in response to the BCS National Championship football game.

The parking ban begins at 10 a.m. on Monday morning (1/8) and continues through 7 a.m. on Tuesday morning (1/9).

The parking ban will be in effect for the following streets:

•Chittenden, 11th, 12th and 13th between High and Summit; both sides of the street

•Lane and Norwich between High and Indianola, both sides of the street

•Indianola between 11th and 13th, both sides of the street.

•Tuller and Waldeck, both sides of the street.

Any vehicle affected by the parking ban will be allowed to park on Ohio State's West Campus Carmack #5 gated lot as early as Sunday (1/7). No permits will be required for this lot from Sunday through midnight on Tuesday.

If the city tows a vehicle on Monday morning, the vehicle will be moved free of charge to the Carmack lot.

Once all streets have been cleared on Monday morning, any vehicle that is found parked in the restricted area will be ticketed and towed to the Columbus Division of Police impound lot located at 400 W. Whittier Street. The fee to retrieve a vehicle is at least $130.
