College of Nursing presents 'A Nurse's Journey to Iraq'

Major Susan Orcutt-Cloft, a U.S. Army Nurse Corps officer, will present “A Nurse’s Journey to Iraq” at 1 p.m. on Wednesday (5/11) at the Blackwell Inn, 2110 Tuttle Park Place. The event is part of National Nurses Week 2005. Orcutt-Cloft, from Twinsburg, Ohio, served with the 28th Combat Support Hospital in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, returning to the United States in February 2004.

After graduating from Kent State University with a bachelor’s degree in nursing she was commissioned as a second lieutenant. She worked for several years as a medical-surgical and pediatric nurse, and was promoted to a nurse manager before earning a master’s in nursing administration from Kent State. Orcutt-Cloft is currently the executive officer for Ohio’s 3rd Army Medical Department Recruiting Detachment.
