Community invited to meeting on Environmental Assessment

The Ohio State University today is hosting a public workshop from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Daniel Wright Elementary School to outline the findings the Environmental Assessment (EA) being conducted to determine impacts of proposed improvements at the OSU Airport at Don Scott Field. Doors will open at 5 p.m., and the formal program will be from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. College of Engineering Dean William A. Baeslack III will give an overview of the EA, and a question and answer session will follow. In addition, Airport officials will develop “information stations,” a series of display boards with information on the project’s purpose, EA results, and a project schedule as it relates to the approval process. The public is welcome to view the stations before and after the full presentation.

Also today, the Airport’s Advisory Committee is meeting from 2-4 p.m. The location of that meeting has been changed to the Carriage Place Rec Center, behind the shopping center at Sawmill at Bethel roads, to better accommodate the participants at the meeting and community members who would like to attend.
