Event welcomes African American high school seniors

President Karen Holbrook and Ohio State faculty, staff and alumni will meet with 150 African American high school seniors admitted for fall quarter from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday (4/9) at the Ohio Union, 1739 N. High St. Holbrook will welcome students from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.

Parents and students who remain undecided on their final college choice will hear from faculty members and current students. A financial aid overview, student and parent panel discussions, and a student activities fair also are planned.

The program concludes with lunch at noon and campus and residence hall tours at 1 p.m.
The event is a collaboration between the offices of Admissions and First Year Experience, and Minority Affairs to provide families with an in-depth view of the many academic opportunities Ohio State can offer. The national signing day for college freshman enrollment is May 2.
