Expert’s Web site chronicles aftermath of U.S. Supreme Court ruling

Last week, a U.S. Supreme Court decision disrupted sentencing practices in courts nationwide. The ruling in Blakely v. Washington stripped judges of their power to increase sentences based on aggravating factors because, according to the Court, the U.S. Constitution gives those rights to juries.
