HONORARY DEGREES: Honorary doctorates will be presented to Louis W. Sullivan M.D., former U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services and founding dean and first president of Morehouse School of Medicine; Charles A. Ballard, founder and CEO of the Institute for Responsible Fatherhood and Family Revitalization and Howard E. LeFevre, a major force behind the development of The Ohio State University at Newark.

DISTINGUISHED SERVICE AWARD: The Distinguished Service Awards will be presented to to former faculty member Joan Leitzel, president emeritus of the University of New Hampshire; Barbara Trueman, owner of Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course; and Richard I. Wells, a 1954 graduate who continues to serve Ohio State.
