Eric completed the B.A. and M.S. in Cognitive Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, and a predoctoral fellowship at NTT Basic Research Laboratories in Japan. He received the Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 1998, followed by postdoctoral training at Arizona State University. Eric was Assistant/Associate Professor at the University of South Carolina from 2001-2008 and is now Associate Professor at OSU. His work on spectro-temporal speech information is funded by a variety of sources, including NIH. Eric teaches courses on hearing science, speech perception, and cochlear implants. He has served as University Faculty Senator and member/chair of a number of committees, including ASA Technical Committee for P&P. He regularly reviews grants for sources including NIH and manuscripts for a variety of journals. Finally, he is Associate Editor for JSLHR.
