Football parking and transportation discussed

When the national champion Ohio State Buckeyes kick off their 2003 campaign on Saturday (8/30), fans will notice a lot of construction before reaching Ohio Stadium. On campus, there are several buildings undergoing construction, renovation or replacement. Parking lots that usually accommodate football fans are filled with construction equipment, which has consumed about 900 spaces usually available for game parking.

Road construction projects will also cause delays. The Lane Avenue Bridge is closed, Lane Avenue is being widened from the bridge to Neil Avenue, and High Street at the southern edge of campus is narrowed to two lanes.

Beth Kelley, associate director of transportation and parking services, will be available to reporters to outline parking and transportation options for the football season at 11 a.m. on Wednesday (8/27) in the stadium parking lot in front of gate 10.
