Football ticket prices for 2024 approved

Ticket ranges approved for 2025-2026

The Ohio State University Board of Trustees approved ticket prices for the Buckeyes’ eight-game, 2024 home football season Thursday.

The season features Big Ten matchups against Indiana, Iowa, Nebraska and Purdue plus a showdown against arch-rival Michigan to close out the season.

Trustees also approved a plan to allow the Department of Athletics to finalize football ticket price ranges for two future seasons – 2025 and 2026 – and approved an increase in membership dues for the Ohio State Golf Course.

Season ticket prices for the 2024 football season will increase from 2023 in part because of an eight-game home schedule versus a six-game home schedule this year. Season ticket prices for the general public will start at $596 for seats in Zone 6 and increase to $1,365 in Zone 1.

Single-game prices in Zone 6 will be less than $92 for seven of the eight home games, with prices starting as low as $46. Prices for the premier game on the schedule – Nov. 30 versus Michigan – will start at $192.

Student ticket prices for the 2024 season will increase by $2 for non-conference games and $4 for conference games. This is the first student ticket price increase since the 2013 season, and this price per game change will remain for the 2025 and 2026 seasons.

Price ranges approved

The athletic department also requested the ability to assign individual game ticket pricing for the 2025 and 2026 football seasons based on price ranges, opponent and seating zone. The individual game ticket price will be assigned within the ranges as follows.

  • Individual game tickets for non-conference opponents these two years will be priced as low as $50 and up to a maximum of $150 per ticket.
  • Individual game tickets for conference opponents will be priced as low as $80 and up to a maximum of $210 per ticket.
  • Individual game tickets for premium opponents will be priced as low as $125 and up to a maximum of $500 per ticket.

Season ticket discounts off the aggregate individual game prices for public, faculty, staff and students will remain. Actual game prices for the 2025 season will be determined in the fall of 2024. Ticket prices for the 2026 season will be determined in the fall of 2025.

Football ticket pricing strategies have received positive feedback from fans and have helped match pricing to the market. The Ohio State Athletic Council and university administrators recommended ticket pricing plans.

Ohio State Golf Course membership dues

The department requested to increase the alumni, faculty/staff, affiliate and student membership dues by 3%. The increase will be allocated to the capital reserve account for deferred maintenance and future projects.
