Gee-Bumgarner Marriage Planned

E. GORDON GEE AND CONSTANCE M. BUMGARNER TO BE MARRIED
     COLUMBUS -- Ohio State University President E. Gordon Gee
and Constance M. Bumgarner announced today (9/6) that they will
be married Nov. 26 in a family civil ceremony in Salt Lake City,
Utah.
     Gee, 50, has been president of Ohio State since Sept. 1,
1990.  Bumgarner, 40, is an assistant professor at Ohio State and
directs the graduate program in Arts Policy and Administration.
She joined the university in September 1993.
     Bumgarner is the daughter of Marie Campbell and the late
Clifton Bumgarner of Burlington, N.C.  She holds a Bachelor of
Fine Arts degree from East Carolina University, a Master of Fine
Arts degree from Pratt Institute, and a Ph.D. in art education
from The Pennsylvania State University.
     Gee is the son of Mrs. Vera S. and the late Elwood A. Gee of
Vernal, Utah.
     The couple will return to Columbus on Dec. 1, and will
reside at The Ohio State University president's home in Bexley.
