Glenn Institute offers forum with gubernatorial candidate

John Eastman, an independent candidate for Ohio governor, will hold a public forum at The Ohio State University at 11:30 a.m. Monday (10/28) at the Faculty Club Grand Lounge, 181 S. Oval Drive. The luncheon forum is sponsored by The John Glenn Institute for Public Service and Public Policy at Ohio State.

Eastman is expected to talk about his gubernatorial platform and about the challenges of running as a third party candidate. Reporters are welcome to cover the event, which is expected to end around 1 p.m.

Prior to the luncheon, at 11:15 a.m., Eastman will be available to reporters in the library of the Faculty Club to discuss his policies and experiences in running for office.

Because of time constraints associated with the live televised Taft-Hagan debate on Oct. 23, the Glenn Institute was unable to include Eastman in the event. The separate forum for Eastman will provide students, faculty and staff an opportunity to hear his views and ideas.

WHAT: John Eastman, independent candidate for Ohio governor, will talk with reporters and then hold a public forum.

WHEN: Monday, Oct. 30. Eastman will be available to meet with reporters at 11:15 a.m. and begin his luncheon forum around noon.
