Gore delivers lecture on global change

Former Vice President Al Gore will discuss global change and the environment in the 62nd annual Bownocker Lecture at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday (4/21) in Weigel Hall Auditorium, 1866 College Road.

The lecture is co-sponsored by the John Glenn Institute for Public Service & Public Policy and the Department of Geological Sciences. Prior to the lecture, Gore will meet privately with faculty at the Byrd Polar Research Center to learn about the climate research being conducted at Ohio State. He will also take a private tour of the Byrd Center led by Lonnie Thompson, Distinguished University Professor in the Department of Geological Sciences.

Unfortunately, no seats remain for the event. However, a web stream will be available for viewing approximately two hours after the lecture begins. It can be viewed after 4:30 p.m. from the Glenn Institute website, http://www.glenninstitute.org/glenn/index.asp
