Griffin to meet media at Buckeye Bash

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State University Alumni Association president and CEO Archie Griffin will be available for interviews prior to the Buckeye Bash® at Chase Field on Sunday, Jan. 7.

Griffin, college football's only two-time Heisman Trophy winner, will be available for a half-hour beginning at 1:30 p.m. His interview session will be held in Auxiliary Room A, which is room No. 23 in the attached diagram. Also available for interviews will be Craig Krenzel, quarterback of Ohio State's 2002 national championship team.

For admission to the media session, please present your BCS National Championship press pass or a valid work identification card that specifies what media outlet you represent.

This year's Buckeye Bash® renews a longstanding Alumni Association tradition. However, this year's Bash will have a distinctly modern touch. Those not able to attend the Bash will be able to view it live on the Internet at www.ohiostatealumni.org/newscenter/bash_stream.php.

Doors open for the Bash at 1:30 p.m. The program is scheduled to begin with coach Jim Tressel's remarks at 2:30 p.m. Also participating in the program will be Griffin, Ohio State athletics director Gene Smith, City of Columbus mayor Michael Coleman, the Ohio State University Marching Band, the Buckeye cheerleaders, and Brutus.

Merchandise from the Official Ohio State Team Shop will be available for purchase at Chase Field. Food and beverages will also be available for purchase.

The Bash is free and no reservations or tickets are necessary.
