Habitat for Humanity at Ohio State to dedicate house built on campus

Members Habitat for Humanity at Ohio State will officially dedicate the house built on the university’s campus at 1 p.m. on Saturday (5/22) on the west lawn of the Ohio Union, 1739 N. High St.

During the event, the new homeowners will get the keys and unlock the doors of their new house for the first time.

Since March, 328 student volunteers have spent more than 3,700 hours working on “Buckeye Build: Project CHAMPIONS,” a project to build the two-story house that measures approximately 23 feet wide and 34 feet deep. The house will be transferred by professional movers in June to a lot donated by Ohio State alumnus J.R. Haller and located between Fifth and Seventh avenues in the Weinland Park area.
