Holbrook to be inducted as honorary member of Bucket and Dipper

President Karen Holbrook will be inducted as an honorary member of Bucket and Dipper, a junior class honorary at The Ohio State University. She will give remarks during the ceremony.

The ceremony, which is set for 2 p.m. on Saturday (5/8) in Browning Amphitheater near Mirror Lake, includes the inductions of 30 students as members of next year’s Bucket and Dipper class. Daniel Farrell, professor in the Department of Philosophy, also will be inducted as an honorary member.

Members of Bucket and Dipper voted to approve the inductions because they felt that Holbrook and Farrell exemplified the organization’s ideals of leadership, scholarship and service. The honorary members will be presented with an engraved dipper and an official pin of the organization. They also will be asked to sign the book that all inducted members of Bucket and Dipper have signed since 1907.

WHY: Members of the class honorary voted to induct Holbrook and Farrell because they exemplify the organization’s ideals of leadership, scholarship and service
