Holbrook to discuss 21st century model for Ohio State outreach

One goal of Ohio State’s Leadership Agenda is for the university to develop outreach and engagement initiatives that connect areas of academic excellence with societal needs. President Karen Holbrook will discuss her vision for translating that goal into a reality during her talk at a university-wide conference on outreach and engagement.

Holbrook’s talk is set for 2:45 p.m. on Friday (4/30) in the East Ballroom of the Ohio Union, 1739 N. High St.

As a land-grant university, Ohio State touches the lives of thousands of people throughout the state of Ohio through its numerous outreach programs, including extension offices that provide Ohio State expertise in all 88 counties. Among other benefits, Ohio State initiatives have had an impact on the economy, helped prepare pre-collegiate students for college, provided health care services to low-income Ohioans, and enhanced learning and re-learning for older adults.
