Holbrook to discuss university's role in shaping Ohio's future

President Karen A. Holbrook will discuss The Ohio State University’s role in shaping Ohio’s future in remarks to the Columbus Metropolitan Club at noon Wednesday (1/29) at the Athletic Club, 136 E. Broad St.

Holbrook says the Academic Plan, the university’s strategy to enhance its academic standing to top-tier status among the nation’s public universities, will help the state of Ohio prosper in the information age and knowledge economy of the 21st Century. Gov. Bob Taft’s Third-Frontier Project, a 10-year, $1.6 billion plan, recognizes the importance of higher education in improving the state’s economy.
