Holbrook, Tressel to help kickoff Campaign for the Library
President Karen A. Holbrook, Coach Jim Tressel and his wife, Ellen, Athletics Director Andy Geiger and Director of University Libraries Joe Branin are among the university officials who will attend the Campaign for the Library kickoff event.
The event is at 4:30 p.m. today (10/25) in the William Oxley Thompson Memorial Library, 1858 Neil Ave. Mall. Approximately 120 are expected to attend the event.
The Main Library, built in 1913, is the only building renovation project mentioned in the university’s Academic Plan, the university’s strategy to become one of the nation’s best public universities. The project cost of the Mail Library renovation is $99 million with $69 million coming from capital funds and $30 million from fundraising.
