Legal expert can discuss controversy over Rice’s testimony

An Ohio State University law professor can discuss the decision by the Bush Administration to allow National Security Adviser Condoleezza Rice to testify publicly and under oath before the commission investigating the 9/11 attacks.

A separation of powers expert, Peter Shane is available to discuss the controversy over Rice’s testimony to the 9/11 commission. He is the Joseph S. Platt/Porter Wright Morris & Arthur Professor of Law and director of the Center for Law, Policy and Social Science. Shane regards claims of blanket testimonial immunity as implausible in light of the vast expansion of the adviser’s role since the position was created during the presidency of Franklin D. Roosevelt.
