Lisa Tiger to Speak for Native American Heritage Month

AIDS EDUCATOR TO SPEAK NOV. 6 DURING NATIVE AMERICAN HERITAGE
MONTH

     COLUMBUS -- AIDS educator and feminist Lisa Tiger, a member
of the Muscogee Nation who is of Creek/Seminole/Cherokee descent,
will speak on AIDS education at 7 p.m. Nov. 6 in the Ohio Union
Conference Theater, 1739 N. High St.  Her presentation is among
events being held in observance of Native American Heritage Month
at The Ohio State University.

     An artist and tribal activist, Tiger has spoken at schools,
clinics and conferences across the country about AIDS education,
prevention and research since she tested positive for HIV in
1992. She recently formed the Lisa Tiger Fitness Foundation, a
nonprofit organization dedicated to building healthy American
Indian communities through traditional cultural practices.  She
