MEDIA ADVISORY: Ohio State’s Eddie George Participates in Tobacco Free Effort
COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State University’s Tobacco Free effort, in conjunction with the United Way of Central Ohio Volunteer Challenge, will participate in a cigarette butt and litter Cleanup initiative. This is a city-wide event intended to inspire, mobilize and challenge central Ohioans to find volunteer opportunities to help Columbus build a more proud and engaged community. The challenge will connect individuals to a variety of volunteer occasions that fit their passions and interests.
The project will draw volunteers to the Neil-Eighth-Cannon-King Organization (NECKO) neighborhood adjacent to the medical center campus to collect cigarette butts and other litter.
