Media briefing to highlight Ohio State vs. Michigan events and initiatives

In preparation for the storied football match-up between Ohio State and Michigan on Nov. 22, President E. Gordon Gee and others will be available for a media briefing prior to Coach Jim Tressel's weekly media luncheon.

The event will take place at 11:45 a.m. on Monday (11/17) at the indoor practice facility at the Woody Hayes Athletic Complex, 535 Irving Schottenstein Dr.

President E. Gordon Gee will make remarks and be available for one-on-one interviews. He will be joined by Maggie Sweeney, student president of the Ohio State Sportsmanship Council who will available to discuss the success of the "Best Fans in the Land" 2008 campaign.

The event is geared to provide reporters with access to key individuals and pertinent information for their coverage of "Beat Michigan Week 2008" and the 105th game in this historic rivalry. It will be the media's best opportunity to gather information and story ideas for the Ohio State-Michigan game on Nov. 22.

WHEN:11:45 a.m. on Monday (11/17), just before Coach Tressel's weekly media luncheon

WHERE:Indoor practice facility at Woody Hayes Athletic Complex, 535 Irving Schottenstein Dr.
Directions: Enter off Olentangy River Road and drive toward the back of the complex. Parking is available adjacent to Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium and the softball stadium construction. Enter the Les Wexner Football Complex through the Biggs Annex door (closest to parking lot) and cross that lobby into the indoor practice facility.

WHY:To assist news organizations in their week-long coverage of the Ohio State vs. Michigan game
