NCAA Women's Final Four Site Selection Committee available for interviews Oct. 15

As part of the city-wide site visit to evaluate Columbus as a potential host for the NCAA Basketball Women's Final Four, representatives from the NCAA Division I Women's Basketball Committee, NCAA staff and the local organizing committee will be available to the media to discuss impressions of the visit and the process of selection.

Columbus is one of eight finalists in contention to host the Final Four between 2012-16. The sites will be announced by late November. The games would be played at Nationwide Arena with The Ohio State University, the Greater Columbus Sports Commission and Nationwide Arena serving as hosts.

WHAT: Media availability for NCAA site visit

WHEN: 5 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 15

WHERE: Nationwide Arena – Founders Club (located on suite level)
200 W. Nationwide Blvd.

Media parking is available in the arena's attached garage which may be accessed from McConnell Blvd. Upon entering the garage, proceed to the rooftop level and park closest to the G3 entrance.

Notes: Ohio State, Nationwide Arena and the Greater Columbus Sports Commission will first welcome NCAA Division I Women's Basketball as hosts of the 2009 first and second round tournament games scheduled for March 21 and 23.
