New On Campus website expands news and information available to faculty, staff
Joining the online presence is a revamped daily email, both launching today

Faculty and staff have a new source for university news and information as the On Campus website launches today as part of Ohio State News. Also starting today, faculty and staff will receive a revamped On Campus email featuring news and events highlights.
“We’re excited to expand the ways in which Ohio State News can share important information, upcoming opportunities and more with the university community,” said Ben Johnson, assistant vice president of media and public relations at Ohio State. “For years, On Campus has helped to inform faculty and staff about notable and timely news, including institutional priorities and information pertinent to employment at the university. We want to see this news service grow.”
The introduction of the website as well as a largely visual makeover of the On Campus email are based on feedback from Ohio State faculty and staff. In a survey conducted in the spring, 90% of respondents said keeping up with Ohio State news is important, while On Campus was identified as the No. 1 source for such information. Topics of interest included research, university events, employee benefits, institutional policy updates and safety information.
The website will allow for more news – much of which is submitted by colleges and units across the university – on these topics to be published. Also included will be an expanded and frequently updated listing of events and opportunities for faculty and staff at Ohio State.
A link to the new On Campus website will be included in the daily email – and the website will be accessible through the Ohio State News homepage. Guidelines for submission to On Campus have also been updated.
The student version of the On Campus email, sent to both undergraduate and graduate students, will also have a revamped look to more closely align with the Ohio State News and university brands. News and information specific to students will continue to be shared through multiple channels by the Office of Student Life, the Graduate School and additional university units.
Ohio State News will continue to seek engagement from faculty, staff and students to ensure On Campus is evolving and adapting to the needs of the university community.
