MEDIA ADVISORY: Buckeyes celebrate Fiesta Bowl with activities in Phoenix

As Ohio State prepares for the Jan. 1 BattleFrog Fiesta Bowl against the University of Notre Dame, media are invited to cover these events that capture the excitement of bowl game festivities.

Times for all events in Phoenix are MST.

Wednesday, Dec. 30

9 a.m.

Ohio State University Marching Band arrives in Phoenix

2:30 to 4:30 p.m.Ohio State University Marching Band rehearsal (Media welcome)

Saguaro High School, Phoenix

6:30 p.m.

Ohio State University Marching Band performs at Phoenix Zoo. (Notre Dame band to perform at 7 p.m.)

Thursday, Dec. 31

9-11:30 a.m.

University Service Project

University of Notre Dame and Ohio State University leaders, students and coaching staff families will work together with the St. Mary’s Food Bank Alliance, 2831 N. 31st Ave, Phoenix. It is the 18th year for Ohio State’s bowl tour community service project and the fourth time Ohio State has visited the St. Mary’s Food Bank.

The Ohio State Marching Band will also join the group and encourage volunteers with a performance by the Pep Band.

3 p.m.
Buckeye Bash Pep RallyThe annual pep rally features coaches, cheerleaders and the Marching Band. The event takes place at East Indian Plaza in the Scottsdale Entertainment District.
