Construction to close football game day parking lots beginning September 5. The straightening and elevating of Cannon Drive will support future growth of the university and the Medical Center by creating 12 acres of developable land, serving as future flood protection, creating an eventual north-south connection between King and Lane Avenues and enhancing green space in the Olentangy River corridor.

The first phase of construction is expected to run through the fall of 2019. As a result, starting Sept. 5, Cannon Drive will close for construction between 12th Avenue and Medical Center Drive. Access to the SR-315 on-ramp and off-ramp will be maintained during football season - though intermittent closures could occur this fall during overnight hours.
The Polo and Dodd surface parking lots, located along Cannon Drive, will close the night of Sept. 4. The project will remove 2,100 parking spaces. SEE: http://www.ohiostatebuckeyes.com/genrel/081517aaa.html.
