Officials outline plans for football home games - 08/25/06
Ohio State kicks off the 2006 football season with a home game on Saturday (9/2). The game against Northern Illinois, the first of seven home games this season, will bring tens of thousands of people to campus.
University and athletics administrators and public safety officials will offer information on stadium policies, parking, and security in a news conference at 10 a.m. on Tuesday (8/29) in the Ohio Stadium home media room. Media should enter gate 32 in the southeast tower and take the elevator to the third floor.
Those attending are Rick Amweg, assistant chief of University Police; Sarah Blouch, director of Transportation and Parking Services; and Bill Jones, director of ticketing, and Mike Penner, director of events management in the Department of Athletics. The availability is the media's best opportunity to gather information on home football games before Saturday's game.
In addition to providing information about what fans can expect when attending Buckeye football games, we will also debut the PSA that will air during broadcasts of the game.
