Ohio State basketball programs recognize seniors

Leaders on men’s and women’s teams celebrated at home games

Buckeye fans cheered on men’s and women’s basketball team members at the final home games of the season in the past week. Both programs celebrated senior players who may have played their final home games for The Ohio State University.

The women’s team recognized seniors at the Feb. 26 game in which the team bested the Michigan State Spartans, 89-78.

Players Taylor Thierry and Madison Greene were honored before the game, while managers Shelby Granger and CJ Williams as well as videographer Enrique Cabotage were honored at halftime.

The women’s team plays their first game in the Big Ten tournament on Friday in Indianapolis.

The men’s team recognized veterans at the March 4 game in which they prevailed over the Nebraska Cornhuskers, 116-114.

The men’s team honored players Ques Glover and Kalen Etzler as well as managers Nick Moore and Eric Oberholtzer, equipment manager Kyle Peters, student trainer Taylor Finnerty and Cabotage, the team’s social media manager, prior to the game.

The men’s team takes on the Indiana Hoosiers Saturday at Bloomington. They play their first game in the Big Ten tournament on March 12.
