Ohio State celebrates Minority Health Month
Ohio State University will celebrate Minority Health Month with the 2nd Annual Minority Fitness & Health Professional Career Fair from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, April 3 at the Ohio Union ballrooms, 1739 N. High St.
The fair, titled “Having a Health of a Good Time!,” offers free health screenings, hand and body massages, health education, and plenty of activities including dancing, steppin’, double dutch and yoga. High school and college students interested in a career in the health professions are invited to come and speak with top health professionals at Ohio State and in the community.
The mission of the fair is to address health disparities among minorities in the university and Columbus communities. Questions answered by some of Ohio State and Columbus’ top health professionals. The fair is sponsored by many university organizations, including the Frank W. Hale Jr. Black Cultural Center, the Council on Student Affairs, the Student Affairs Diversity Council, and the Ohio Union Office of Student Activities.
