Ohio State expert can discuss U.N. Security Council resolution

In an attempt to get other countries to donate more troops and money to help stabilize and rebuild Iraq, the Bush administration is circulating a draft resolution among members of the United Nation’s Security Council that would authorize a multinational force under unified U.S. command. The resolution also would encourage Iraqis to set a timetable for holding elections and establishing self-rule.

Richard Herrmann, director of the Mershon Center and professor of political science, who is an expert on politics and American foreign policy in the Middle East, can discuss the issue with media. He is available at (614) 292-9843.
