Ohio State Hosts National Conference on Diversity

Columbus – The Ohio State University’s National Conference on Diversity, Race and Learning will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday (5/6) at the Fawcett Hotel and Conference Center, 2400 Olentangy River Rd.

The ninth annual meeting is titled “Community, Connection and Commitment: Moving beyond the Rhetoric” and represents the university’s most comprehensive, single-day conference that focuses on issues of diversity, cultural inclusion and acceptance. The Office of Minority Affairs is the event sponsor.

President Karen A. Holbrook and Edward Ray, executive vice president and provost, will recognize the 2003 Ohio State Distinguished Diversity Enhancement Award recipients at a 12:30 luncheon. The keynote address by diversity trainer and consultant Dr. Samuel Betances will follow.
