Ohio State hosts national Science Olympiad

Ohio State is hosting the national Science Olympiad on Saturday (5/10). About 2,000 elementary and secondary students, who earned first or second places in their state competitions, will attend.

The Science Olympiad, which was created in 1983, is a national nonprofit organization devoted to improving the quality of science education, increasing student interest in science and providing recognition of outstanding achievement in science education by both students and teachers. The tournament consists of a series of individual and team events that encourage learning in biology, earth science, chemistry, physics, computers and technology.
