Ohio State hosts Thanksgiving Day dinner for students, faculty and staff
The Ohio State University hosted one of the largest Thanksgiving Day dinners on a college campus today.
An estimated 1,600 students, faculty and staff, along with their families, enjoyed the traditional turkey dinner. The celebration is for those who are unable to travel home for the holiday.

President Michael V. Drake joined dozens of volunteers throughout the university community to assist in serving the meals.
The traditional Thanksgiving Dinner included 650 pounds of turkey, 30 gallons of gravy, 432 pounds each of green beans and corn, 320 pounds of corn bread and 2,000 slices of pie.
Ohio State's Thanksgiving Dinner began 26 years ago as a gathering of 25 graduate students in the Hale Black Cultural Center. The event has grown to include broad participation from out-of-state and international students.
Thanksgiving Dinner at Ohio State is supported by the Office of Diversity and Inclusion and the Office of International Affairs.
