Ohio State is hosting conference on campus security issues

The Ohio State University is hosting a conference for those involved with security or policing issues on a college or university campus.

The conference is set from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Friday (4/16) in the Fawcett Center, 2400 Olentangy River Road. President Karen Holbrook will give remarks at approximately 9:40 a.m.

The event marks the Central Ohio Regional CAMPUS (Collaborating on Alcohol Misbehavior & Problems in University Settings) meeting. Attendees will include university police and security personnel and student affairs employees.

The mission of CAMPUS is to reduce high risk and underage drinking among Ohio college and university students by fostering statewide collaboration among those concerned with enforcement of law and policy.

CAMPUS is sponsored by the Ohio Association of Chiefs of Police and the Ohio Department of Public Safety.
