Ohio State Marching Band to dot the ‘I’ at ‘The Game’

With the 100th football game between The Ohio State University and the University of Michigan just days away, Jon Woods, director of the Ohio State Marching Band, is available to discuss the band’s own spirited history and final preparations for the trip. The journey to Ann Arbor, Mich., is the only road trip of the regular season for the marching band. Approximately 225 student musicians will travel.

Woods will be available at 4 p.m. on Thursday (11/20) in the Steinbrenner Band Center located on the northeast side of Ohio Stadium, 411 Woody Hayes Drive. The band’s final day of rehearsal will be at 4 p.m. in the band center and from 4:45 to 6 p.m. on the Ohio Stadium south practice fields.

Ohio State’s pre-game performance will include a double “Script Ohio.” The halftime show will feature patriotic music honoring President Kennedy who was assassinated on Nov. 22, 1963.
