Ohio State News Alert: Training exercise planned

Police and first responders training in campus area

The Ohio State University Department of Public Safety issued the following news alert on Aug. 27.

Dear Ohio State Community:

A large-scale public safety training exercise will be conducted in Franklin County on Saturday morning (Aug. 28), with one exercise location at the Newport Music Hall across from the Ohio Union area.

The multi-agency training is being run by Franklin County Emergency Management and Homeland Security as first responders do their part to be prepared to respond to emergency situations. Do not be alarmed if you see first responders or police vehicles in the campus area tomorrow morning.
