EYE ON THE SKY: Planetarium Grand Re-Opening – Oct. 12. Ohio State’s totally renovated planetarium, located in Smith Lab, 174 W. 18th Ave., will reopen to the public on International Astronomy Day, Saturday, Oct. 12. Improvements include a state-of-the art Spitz SciDome XD extreme definition digital projector, NanoSeam dome and digital surround-sound system. Free showings begin at 3 p.m. and repeat every half hour until 9 p.m. Reservations are strongly recommended due to limited seating. Animal sound expert delivers lecture – Oct. 13. From snapping shrimp to cracking glaciers to melody-singing birds, Bernie Krause has spent his life discovering and recording nature’s rich chorus. Kraus, a world-renowned musician and expert on animal sound gives Science Sundays lecture at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 13, in the Ohio Union U. S. Bank Conference Theater, 1739 N. High St.

Presidential Search Advisory Subcommittee Meetings Scheduled – Oct. 14 and 22. The Presidential Search Advisory Subcommittee of The Ohio State University Board of Trustees will meet from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 14 in Room 200 Bricker Hall, 190 N. Oval Mall.
The subcommittee will also meet from 1 to 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 22 in Room 200 Bricker Hall, 190 N. Oval Mall.
