Presidential Search Selection and Presidential Search Advisory Subcommittee Meetings Scheduled – Oct. 7, 8 and 9. The Presidential Search Selection Subcommittee of The Ohio State University Board of Trustees will meet in executive session from 2 to 4 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 7 in the Ohio Farm Bureau and Nationwide 4H Center, 2201 Fred Taylor Drive.
In addition, the Presidential Search Advisory Subcommittee of The Ohio State University Board of Trustees will meet in executive session from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 8 in 035 Bricker Hall, 190 N. Oval Mall.

Bell Resource Center to host annual Gathering of Men event – Oct. 9. Robert M. Franklin, former president of Morehouse College, is the keynote speaker for the Gathering of Men event Wednesday at 6 p.m. in the Cartoon Meeting Room at the Ohio Union, 1739 N. High St. Hosted by the Todd A. Bell National Resource Center on the African American Male, the event is held annually as an opportunity for new and returning students to establish peer relationships and to foster professional and leadership support among Ohio State faculty and staff, and community professionals. EYE ON THE SKY: Planetarium Grand Re-Opening – Oct. 12. Ohio State’s totally renovated planetarium, located in Smith Lab, 174 W. 18th Ave., will reopen to the public on International Astronomy Day, Saturday, Oct. 12. Improvements include a state-of-the art Spitz SciDome XD extreme definition digital projector, NanoSeam dome and digital surround-sound system. Free showings begin at 3 p.m. and repeat every half hour until 9 p.m. Reservations are strongly recommended due to limited seating. Ohio State a national leader in student mental health programs. The Jed Foundation, a national mental health advocacy organization, has awarded Ohio State a national honor for commitment to the emotional wellbeing of students. The university is one of just 30 in the nation to be awarded the prestigious JedCampus Seal, recognizing Ohio State for its comprehensive mental health services and the Ohio State University Suicide Prevention Program. Ohio State’s First Green Roof Makes Debut. Ohio State University’s first publicly accessible green roof is open to visitors at Howlett Hall, 2001 Fyffe Court. The garden is part of the university’s Chadwick Arboretum and Learning Gardens.
