Ohio State president available to discuss move-in day

President Karen A. Holbrook will be greeting incoming students and their families at 10 a.m. Sunday (9/21) at Lincoln Tower, 1800 Cannon Drive.

Morrill Tower is one of 28 residence halls where seas of red carts will be carrying the dorm room necessities of more than 6,000 students during Move-in Day at The Ohio State University. Students will move into their assigned halls from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sunday (9/21).

Students will first check-in and obtain their keys at the Value City Arena at the Jerome Schottenstein Center. Afterward, they will be directed to their specific residence halls where they will be greeted by a few of the 1,400 first-year students who have volunteered as Ohio State Welcome Leaders (OWLS). The OWLS will unload students’ belongings into large red carts and then wheel them to the appropriate residence hall rooms.

Because so many visitors are on campus on Sunday, Ohio State officials strongly discourage motorists from driving through the campus area. Many streets are closed or restricted, and officers will be controlling traffic at major intersections.
