Thousands of students at The Ohio State University excelled in the classroom during the autumn semester.
The university’s autumn 2021 dean’s list names 23,859 students who have achieved top grades for their work. This includes 18,140 Ohio students, 4,249 non-resident students and 1,470 students whose permanent address is not in the United States.
Criteria for the dean’s list varies by college. It is usually based on the GPA for that specific term and the number of credit hours taken. Many colleges require a minimum of 12 graded credit hours with a 3.5 GPA or higher.
Ohio State is also issuing the list of students who earned degrees at commencement on Dec. 19, 2021. The university awarded 3,538 degrees at the ceremony, including 213 doctoral, five professional, 371 master’s and 2,949 bachelor’s, associate degrees and certificates.
Students may choose not to have their names released under the provisions of the Federal Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974. Their names have been excluded from the lists.
