Ohio State releases spring 2021 dean’s list and graduates

More than 23,000 Buckeyes earn academic honors

A semester that concluded with The Ohio State University’s first in-person commencement since late 2019 also saw more than 23,000 students excel in the classroom.

The university’s spring 2021 dean’s list names 23,941 students who have achieved top grades for their work. This includes 18,151 Ohio students, 4,225 non-resident and 1,565 international students.

Criteria for the dean’s list varies by college. It is usually based on the GPA for that specific term and the number of credit hours taken. Many colleges require a minimum of 12 graded credit hours with a 3.5 GPA or higher.

Ohio State is also issuing the list of students who earned degrees at commencement on May 9, 2021. The university awarded 12,015 degrees at the ceremony, including 433 doctoral, 629 professional, 1,842 master’s, 8,373 bachelor’s, 551 associate degrees and 187 certificates.

Both the dean’s and graduate lists include Ohio, non-resident and international students. Students are listed by county and then by zip code, city and last name. The files are searchable using the search or find function on your device.

Students may choose not to have their names released under the provisions of the Federal Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974. Their names have been excluded from the lists.
